In the area of Las Fuentes, three kilometers from Navarrés, is the Playamonte Lake: a natural water lake that, due to its fine sand characteristics, reminds us of a beach by the sea. Classified as a continental beach, it has held the Blue Flag distinction since 2023.
It is a lagoon fed by several springs, such as Pescao, Fuente Loca, Negra, and de los Pastores. The area is surrounded by pine forests and offers all the services for family tourism: bathing and picnic area, rural houses, cafeteria, restaurant, and playground.
The origin of the lake dates back to the 1970s when the waters of a nearby spring were channeled. At that time, it already had its characteristic beach sand that gives it its name. Here, sand, water, and mountains come together. An emblematic place for the residents of La Canal and the rest of Valencia.
