Ermita Stmo. Cristo de la Providencia (Anna)

Temple built in 1749 as a result of the earthquake that occurred a year earlier, which caused the collapse of the vaults and bell tower of the Immaculate Parish Church. In moment of a panic, the population moved to the upper part of the town (Eras), which was safer, but lacked a place to pray, which is why this Hermitage with a Latin cross plan and covered with a dome was built in honor of the Holy Christ of Providence, to which they dedicate the patron saint festivities.

This viewpoint gets its name from the monumental pine aged 500 years old that was situated in a turn at the Calvary way and was knocked down by a hurricane the 30th of November 1959. A ceramic mosaic contains the beautiful verses that the local poet Pedro Talon wrote mourning about its lost.
