The PR-CV 261 is a circular path that climbs from Millares up to the peak of Cámaro (637 metres above sea level, km 9.1), passing through some of the most important sites in the municipality. It is 18.5 km long and of moderate difficulty, as the trail alternates between sections on rural paths and even a small stretch of the CV-580 road.
It departs from Plaza del Hinchidor in an initial stretch that climbs up to Alto del Cámaro, which offers impressive views of the Nacimiento Ravine, nestled between rounded limestone hills and dotted with bountiful springs, caves and shelters carved out of the rock. Having reached the summit of Alto de Cámaro, you return by retracing your steps along the path until Alto de la Atalaya, where the trail leaves the CV-580 and heads off along the path from La Cuesta to Millares.
A second stretch of this path has a steep descent down to Millares town centre, where, before the end of the path, the lower section of the Nacimiento Ravine is revealed. Next to it are the 12th-century Moorish “Castillet” (little castle), and the magnificent landscapes around the Fuente de Los Escalones spring and Fuente Las Donas spring, where water and lush vegetation predominate.
