The Hermitage of San Nicolás de Bari is located on the small elevation where the Calvary of Chella and the Via Crucis is located, with its curious chapels topped with pointed arches. At its origin the hermitage and the ancient cemetery were separated from the town, which was moved later on.
It is composed by a small rectangular chapel, with a two sides roof and a door framed with a pointed arch, above it are several plinths with religious iconography, and above a swordsman with bell. It has a mixtilinear cornice, adorned with vases and topped with a large iron cross.
Inside stands out the ceramic plinth and vaulted roof. On the altar a niche framed in pointed arch with Christ crucified. In brackets and stands of the side walls you can see images of different sizes of the Sacred Heart, St. Joseph, the Immaculate… highlighting the one dedicated to the titular saint, Nicolás de Bari.
